Oluwo of Iwoland, Oba Abdulrasheed Akanbi has called on Osun state residents, particularly Iwo indigenous peoples, to wash their hands and keep their families safe due to Coronavirus outbreak.

On Thursday, March 19th, 2020, Oluwo made the call on his Instagram account.

In the video, the suspended monarch said that on Friday Iwo indigenous Muslims should not be attending Jumat and on Sunday Christians should be abstaining from churches.

Oba Akanbi also instructed visitors from overseas to quarantine themselves and people should most importantly stay away from them for now.

He added that there would be no room in the palace for non-essential guests, and prayed for God to heal the country.
